As revealed in this article from Roadracing World dated Sept. 11, 2020, this year's October event at Daytona International Speedway will not include the 79th Daytona 200, which has been moved to March 13, 2021. We are working with Daytona management concerning all other Race of Champions racing events and will make an official announcement soon.

Latest July NJMP Paddock Update

July 19, 2020

ASRA/CCS and NJMP management have formulated a plan for moving forward with the July 25-26 event at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

First, this event is NO SPECTATORS. With that being said, you, your family and crew are welcome to attend the event with some simple, common sense precautions.

All trailers and pit areas must be 10' apart. To make sure there is enough room, we ask that you park your trailer or set up your paddock space and then move your extra vehicles to a parking area. Remember the paddock is shared space, be kind to your neighbors so we don't have to ask anyone to move or leave.

Masks are required indoors in all public areas, NO EXCEPTIONS! Masks are required especially when you are in contact with others outside your immediate pit/paddock area. If you are going to visit another rider in their pit or paddock, masks are required if you are within 6 feet of that rider or their crew. NOTE: You do NOT have to wear a mask around your pit/paddock when only you, your family and your crew are in your area. Riders do not need to wear masks when wearing their helmet on the track.

Riders meetings will be done by the PA system. During riders meetings we ask you turn off your generators and compressors for the length of the meeting as a courtesy to other.

If you happen to fall down, the ambulance will only put you in the ambulance if you need medical attention. Otherwise they will check you out and then if you are deemed physically okay, they will have you ride back to the paddock with the crash truck. This helps eliminate the down time required for the ambulance to sanitize the cabin after any patient is placed inside.

Thank you for your patience and support while we work on our newest course of action.

Current Registration and Tech Procedures

July 19, 2020

These procedures will allow us to comply with existing orders for limiting contact in enclosed spaces, masks, gloves and hand sanitizer for the staff who deal directly with the racers. (For the foreseeable future we will use these at every event.)

Since these are the two areas where the closest interaction takes place, here is our new procedure for registration and tech.

Registration:

Our goal is to limit personal contact to a minimum. (We are working on a touch-less registration but unfortunately we do not have a clear answer how an “app” would stand up in court as a signed waiver/release.)

One door in, (at NJMP, the door to the East), and one door out, (the West door).

Each rider will be given their own pen, at the end on the line there will be a bucket for the rider to drop the pen in for us to sanitize when registration closes. (Registrars will sanitize their work station with wipes and/or spray anytime they return to their station and before leaving in the evening.)

One registrar will be stationed the door using gloves, face mask and hand sanitizer. They will have all riders sign a waiver and release at the door and control the access to 12 racers at a time in the room. All entrants will have their temperature taken and any rider with a temperature of 100.0 of higher will be turned away.

Each registrar will have gloves, face mask for themselves and hand sanitizer available for the racer to use. All staff in registration will be at least 6 feet apart with their own table between them and the racer. We will allow only 12 riders in the room at a time with 3 registrars. (Tape lines on the floor 6 feet apart).

Once the racer is finished and deposits their pen in the bucket, they will be asked to use the exit (At NJMP, the West door).

Tech:

Our goal is to limit personal contact to a minimum.

Each inspector will have gloves, face mask for themselves and hand sanitizer available for the racer to use.

We will have multiple tech lines approximately 10 feet apart.

Inspectors will strive to maintain 6' separation in the lines waiting to be inspected.

Racer will bring a stand to tech with the motorcycle and place the bike on the stand and move 6' away from the motorcycle. Then the inspector will evaluate the machines race-readiness. After placing an approval sticker on the machine or notifying the rider of what needs to be addressed, the inspector will move away from the machine and let the racer remove their machine from the tech area.

While we have some specific in-depth procedure changes for the staff, these are the outline we are starting with to mitigate the potential of spreading the virus among or racers and staff.

ASRA/CCS management believe these measures would allow us to be safe and in full compliance with existing restrictions but we understand new orders could be issued with immediate implementation that could remove/change procedures or require postponement or cancellation.

Two Steps Forward, One Step Back for ASRA/CCS Schedule

May 12, 2020

Due to circumstances beyond our control, ASRA/CCS and Summit Point management have agreed to cancel the Memorial Day event at Summit Point Raceway.

While statewide restrictions are being eased on May 21st, the Jefferson County DHHS currently has a 5 person limit in place for all events and cannot commit to easing that restriction by the Memorial Day weekend. (The next projected change would be either to 10 or 25 persons, well below the expected racer and crew turnout of 400 people.)

For your information, SPR will be running schools and private rentals with this 5 person limit with the intent to implement and test the new procedures for upcoming larger events.

Both Summit Point and ASRA/CCS are committed to work with Jefferson County to make the June event possible. SPR has also committed to notify ASRA/CCS of any openings in their schedule to see if this event can be rescheduled.

Please be patient with the ASRA/CCS office when requesting a transfer or refund of entry fees for this event. Transfers can email their request to info@ccsracing.us, info@asraracing.com, chris@ccsracing.us or kevin.elliott@ccsracing.us. Refunds must contact Chris@ccsracing.us or fax your request to 817-246-2977.

Transfer or refund deadline is June 1, 2020.

Thank you for your patience and support while we work out our next course of action.

NCBike Update

With the cancellation of VIR in September and Memorial Day at Summit Point, CCS would like to announce that NCBike on August 1-2 will now be a Twin Sprint Event for Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Championships. The Friday practice day is hosted by EvolveGT so please contact them for entry into that event.

Mid-West Schedule Shuffled for 2020

As of April 22, 2020

Regrettably after consultation with Blackhawk Farms Raceway management, we agreed the most prudent action for 2020 would be to cancel the May 16-17 event for the 2020 season. While South Beloit officials were hoping to re-open May 1st, the Governors of Illinois and Wisconsin both are opting for a later date, so rather than wait we've decided to cancel.

All riders pre-registered for the May BHF event may transfer full credit to a new event date, or request a full refund through normal procedures. Deadline for refund is May 15, deadline for transfer is June 1st. (If you do not respond by June 1st, you will be issued credit slips for the full amount of entry fees.

If you have questions on these instructions for the May BHF entries, please email Chris or Kevin now, or you can call the office when we are allowed to re-open.

ALL TRANSFER REQUESTS FOR THE MAY BHF MUST BE SUBMITTED BY JUNE 1, 2020 FOR CONSIDERATION. ALL REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER THAT WILL RECEIVE CREDIT CERTIFICATES. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Revised Mid-West Schedule for 2020
With the cancellation for the May event at Blackhawk Farms, the 2020 Midwest Roadracing Championship, the decision was made to make the remaining Blackhawk Farms events Twin Sprints WITH a Friday practice day (including the Learning Curves License Clinic) If you are already pre-entered for June, August or September, your Sunday races have already been added to insure your grid position.

Autobahn Event Rescheduled for August

After consultation with Autobahn CC management, we agreed the most prudent action for 2020 would be to postpone this event until later in the season. Fortunately, ACC was able to open the August 22-23 weekend up for us to use and we are grateful for their assistance in this move.

All riders pre-registered have already been transferred to the new event date, if you're still planning on attending, you need to do nothing, we've done it for you. If you cannot attend that date, instructions are listed below for you.
All riders may transfer pre-entries using the dollar amount paid. (No administrative fees.)

Full rider refund of pre-entry fees in the form of payment used for entries. _(No administrative fees.). If you have questions on these instructions, please email Chris or Kevin now, or you can call the office when we are allowed to re-open.

We appreciate your patience and support during this difficult time for our country as well as our sport.

UPDATE, our Fort Worth office is under a "shelter in place" order until at least April 29, 2020. This means that for now, the best way to contact us is via email. If you call or fax something to us, there is no guarantee when we will be able to respond, but all three of us have daily access to our email. We will update you if, or when, the situation changes.

ALL TRANSFER REQUESTS FOR ACC MUST BE SUBMITTED BY AUGUST 7, 2020 FOR CONSIDERATION. ALL REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER THAT WILL RECEIVE CREDIT CERTIFICATES. NO EXCEPTIONS!

2020 ASRA/CCS Schedule Updates

The 2020 Schedule has Been Changed - As of April 1, 2020

We appreciate your patience and support during this difficult time for our country as well as our sport.

As you are all aware, the moving target of "shelter in place" state executive orders and Federal CDC warnings, has forced us to re-schedule 2 events and cancel the April event at Carolina Motorsports Park. With the new target of resuming life as we knew it on May 1, we are still hopeful that the May 2-3 event at Autobahn will signal the re-start of our 2020 season, should that change we will notify you as soon as we can via email, website and press releases.

First, our Fort Worth office is under a "shelter in place" order until at least April 6, 2020. This means that for now, the best way to contact us is via email. If you call or fax something to us, there is no guarantee when we will be able to respond, but all three of us have daily access to our email. We will update you if that date changes.

As of today, we have confirmation that the April 25-26 event at New Jersey Motorsports Park will be rescheduled to July 25-26 on the Thunderbolt Circuit. All pre-entries have been automatically transferred to this event. If you do not wish to participate in that event and you are pre-entered, please contact Chris@ccsracing.us for instructions.

With the Daytona 200 moving to October, the tentative daily schedule is the same as the March event which means the final Team Challenge by Michelin Tire and the ASRA Sprints by Pirelli Tire scheduled for October have been moved to December 5-6 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. ASRA National Championship Awards will be presented in Victory Lane after the final race each day. (Team Challenge on Saturday, ASRA Sprints on Sunday.) We appreciate your patience and support during this difficult time for our country as well as our sport.

Website pages (tracks & schedule) should be updated by the end of today. In the meantime you may Download the updated 2020 Schedule Here (PDF)

VIRUS RESTRICTIONS CAUSE CANCELLATION OF CAROLINA MP EVENT

March 18, 2020
ASRA/CCS in conjunction with Carolina Motorsports Park management have made the difficult decision to cancel the April event at the facility.

"We both agreed without a concrete date for the end of these State restrictions in crowd size, (gathering larger than 100 people are prohibited by the State of SC), it would not be fair to our racers, their families and crews to keep everyone in limbo regarding this race. So we regrettably are forced to announce this cancellation." said ASRA/CCS President Kevin Elliott.

Initial attempts to reschedule at CMP were thwarted by the planned re-pave of the 2.27 mile road course and with the only open date left the same weekend as the Race of Champions. ASRA/CCS is exploring other venues to host the event later in the season. Pre-entered riders will be refunded or transferred to an event of their choice later in the ASRA/CCS season.

UPDATE! -- ENTIRE DAYTONA EVENT PUSHED TO OCTOBER R.O.C.

ASRA President Kevin Elliott announced that all entries and credentials from the March Daytona 200 and the ASRA/CCS event will be honored at the October event, including garage rentals. Also, for those riders who cannot make the October race, transfers, race credits or refunds will be handled on a case by case basis shortly.

The final ASRA Team Challenge will take place at Homestead in December.

UPDATE: Please read the Roadracing World Magazine Article for full details.

Original Press Release
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 13, 2020) – "American Flat Track has postponed this weekend's race events at Daytona International Speedway, which includes Saturday's DAYTONA 200 presented by CoMoto and the DAYTONA TT.

The 79th DAYTONA 200 will be held as part of Biketoberfest in October and the DAYTONA TT will be rescheduled on a future date.

We believe this decision is in the best interest of the safety and well-being of our fans, competitors, officials and everyone associated with the sport. We will continue to monitor this dynamic situation as we assess future race events."
