Press and Photographers are welcome at all of our events. Not everyone has access to the "restricted" race track areas, however. The lists below will give you an idea what to expect, and what is expected of you, to gain access.

Press:
Representatives of a newspaper or magazine with an assignment to publish a story with or without photographs
  • Required in advance: A letter from the publication explaining your assignment & when the story will be published.
  • Required: Must sign all insurance & indemnity release forms.
  • Required: Must check in with the Head Clerk upon arrival at track.
  • Required: A Safety Briefing from a CCS official.
  • Access to Restricted Areas for Photography allowed.
  • Fees: Track Gate Fee may apply. No additional charge.


Photography Vendors:
Photographers who make their living by paying vendor fees to each track that allow them to shoot our races.
Some sell their images at the track, others online.
  • Required: Make prior arrangements with the track (at least 1 week prior).
  • Required: Must check in with the Head Clerk upon arrival at track.
  • Required: Must sign all insurance & indemnity release forms & provide contact information.
  • Access to Restricted Areas for Photography allowed.
  • Fees: Track Vendor Fees as applicable. May need to pay Gate Fee.


CCS/ASRA Photographers:
A small group of photographers who have long-standing relationships with CCS and usually fall into one of the two categories above.
  • Required: Must register with CCS at the beginning of the season indicating which events they expect to attend.
  • Required: Must confirm with CCS at least 1 week prior to each event.
  • Required: Must provide photos to CCS for its own articles & publications (must be received promptly).
  • Required: Must sign all insurance & indemnity release forms.
  • Required: Must check in with the Head Clerk upon arrival at track.
  • Access to Restricted Areas for Photography allowed.
  • May be placed on our Gate List for free credential/gate pass.


Everyone Else:
Individuals who shoot photographs for sharing with racers and/or inclusion in our website's Photo Galleries.
  • Required: Must sign all insurance & indemnity release forms.
  • Access to Restricted Areas for Photography not allowed.
  • Fees: Normal Gate Fee.
